Looking Back, Learning Forward
2024 was a year of incredible beer, exciting collaborations, and, lets be honest, a few challenges. We were blown away by the number of breweries wanting to get involved and the creative ideas that came through. But unfortunately, some events didnt go ahead due to a shortage of available venues. After a few years off, the industry has evolved, and we learned a lot from bringing SBW back last year.
So, for 2025, we're making a few key changes to streamline the process and set everyone up for success.
What's Changing?
1. Tighter Timelines:
Last year, we extended the EOI period to accommodate smaller teams, but it ended up dragging out the process for everyone. This year, deadlines are firm no extensions. This will give breweries more time to create amazing beers, secure the right collaborators, and ensure events have the marketing runway they deserve.
2. Venues First, Breweries Second:
Our core mission remains unchanged: getting great beer into great venues for people to enjoy. So, venues collaborating with breweries will get priority. We're also opening EOIs to breweries directly this year, but brewery-led events without a unique hook won't be prioritised.
3. Focus on Experiences:
A brewery pouring its own beers? Thats a tasting. We want events, something creative, engaging, and memorable. Whether its a tap takeover with a twist, a collab dinner with a top-notch chef, or a live music event paired with limited-edition brews if its exciting, it'll stand out.

Event Schedule Announced: May 2025
Marketing Commence: 25 August 2025
